Be The Church @ 1202

Some small groups are merely extensions of the local body.  Meet Andrea York. Andrea has served in ministry for many years. She has been a pastor's wife, Bible study teacher, and children's ministry coordinator. She has served in multiple roles at church camps and sung with various gospel groups. She is very active in her local congregation. Over the last several years, the Lord has led her to meet with various groups of people in her home. The more intimate setting has allowed her to avoid some challenges we face in our local bodies, such as time constraints and the formal atmosphere that can create a sterile environment. By meeting in her home, Andrea has found that the individuals feel more comfortable sharing their struggles, and it has created a safe and nurturing atmosphere to grow in the Lord. We have partnered with Andrea to be a source of encouragement and prayer. We come alongside the leadership of the local body to help her disciple those she has been called to minister to and offer ministry opportunities.

The Story of FYI
Finding Your Identity

FYI was born out of a desire to disciple young girls. Andrea's passion is to nurture young girls through the difficult terrain of an ever-threatening culture that is contrary to scripture. The focus of meeting with these young ladies is to create an atmosphere conducive to teaching them how to interact with their culture through a biblical perspective. By meeting in her home, she has been able to not only include those who attend her local body but also others. The warm and home-like atmosphere has created a safe place for these girls to grow in their knowledge of the Word.
